Feldenkrais Method for Infants, Toddlers, and Children
It is such a relief, parents tell me, to come here. The highlight of the week to be in a space in which their child is seen as a whole person, not a diagnosis. I see what they are doing well, what is possible. Of course, I keep in mind the difficulty, but the attention and work is on what is possible, and that is often more than what parents have been told is to be expected. Children are allowed to find their own way here, work in their own timing, and through touch and movement, changes spontaneously take place.
Whether there is a birth injury, a diagnosis such as cerebral palsy, developmental delays, issues with coordination, or sensory motor issues, Feldenkrais Method can help your child maximize and improve their ability to learn.
Please contact me to discuss whether this is a good fit for you and your family. I can also connect you with cranio-sacral practitioners working with infants.

I recommend reading Kids Beyond Limits, by Anat Baniel. Anat Baniel was one of Moshe Feldenkrais' students, and her advice to parents as to how to work with their children is incredibly powerful and helpful.
What are sessions like?

Depending on the age, sessions usually range from 30-45 minutes. Sessions can be very slow and quiet, or more playful and movement oriented depending on what will best meet the child where they are. No session is the same, because every session is person-centered.
Depending on the age, sessions for children can be more active and playful. I follow and engages with the child where they are, creating openings for new movement patterns, building on the repertoire they already have. I invite, without imposing, observe without pathologizing. This is true for all clients, but even especially true with children.
Feldenkrais Method® is my main work. Other modalities come into play as appropriate, when we decide together.
