CranioSacral
The power of listening
Validation leads to improvement
Just as in Feldenkrais, in Craniosacral sessions, I am listening without the intent to correct, but with the awareness of what is possible. In reflecting to your brain (you) what is happening in your system, you are given the opportunity to receive support, and to learn. Usually, then, you begin to change, and I follow that change and provide further information with my hands. These sessions are GENTLE, yet profound. Clients are fully clothed.

Working with the whole person, not the symptom
In Craniosacral (CST) work, like in Feldenkrais Method, we actively engage with the brain and it's capacity to learn. Humans have an innate ability to tend towards health, and so we are supporting that tendency. CST is a framework of observing structures and function in a way that gives the person the information needed to make shifts towards greater equilibrium. It is focused initially on the structures of the bones of the head, spine, and sacrum, and in the fluid dynamics, fascia, and joint movement. However, we address the whole person from the center outward. We work with your body, head, and the nervous system in order to support a release of restrictions in the movement of breath, bones, joints and fascia, as well as to address the emotional response to trauma which we know is often remembered in our tissues.

We can all benefit, and those with the following might find extra benefit
Migraines or tension headaches; neuralgia, sciatica, pelvic pain, jaw discomfort, shoulder and neck pain; chronic fatigue, post car accident, scoliosis, TMJ, trauma recovery, anxiety, chronic pain and more. Post-concussion and brain injury clients, please clear with a doctor prior to coming for a session.
