Artist Biography
Growing up a dancer, Danso’s understanding of expression, movement, and the human form is evident in her approach to art, whether abstract or figurative. She painted long ago, returning to it only recently with maturity, a willingness to play, and thus creative fearlessness.
This fearlessness and playfulness has led to a distinctive approach.
Working in pure acrylic tints, mediums, and paints, on both canvas and drop cloth, Danso often paints on both sides of the canvas. The mainly abstract backgrounds interact with the subjects, creating a sense of depth, motion, and color.
Lately, Heather has accidentally become a multimedia artist. She now does whatever she wants.
