Discover yourself through your Sensation the primary way of knowing.
Your neck and shoulders are related to everything you do, and for many, the tension that builds up from working at the computer, driving, or using the phone lands here. Additionally, the musculature of the shoulders, neck, and chest are connected: the healthy function of our neck affects the chest and shoulders, and visa versa. Metaphorically, we shoulder our troubles, we shrug off difficulties. We grin and bear things, and how we hold our head and shoulders is affected.

Functional anatomy of your shoulder and neck, the related structures and how they interrelate
Through two guided movement sessions, we will unwind old habits and clarify and improve the movement of the shoulder in relation to the neck, as well as helping integrate and support the impressive amount of movement potential. Improve the movement and ease of the shoulder girdle and neck, and likely find some comfort throughout your spine, ribs, and greater postural alignment.
Bring: your curiosity, your tea or coffee and a snack. Wear layers for adaptability. You will find your own deep insights through these facilitated lessons (think playful, slow, exploratory floor work), and an opportunity for learning that will influence how you move through life.
Why Experiential Anatomy? These Feldenkrais and Yoga-based workshops are self-study opportunities. Having greater awareness of our own anatomy and self-use can help us find greater strength, effectiveness, and also decrease and prevent pain. This awareness can improve your options for how you find poses in yoga, your golf swing, how you sit, and even how you think about yourself in movement. After class sessions, students report experiencing a general improvement in their sense of wellbeing and comfort, greater confidence, and a sense of effortless posture. I recommend a quiet day after attending a workshop

Self-Study
Svadyaya is the yogic principle for living that teaches self-study. Discover yourself through your body, the primary way of knowing.
Movement is life. Life is a process. Improve the quality of the process and you improve the quality of life itself.
