Heather Danso, now Emanuel, like her cats, has at least 9 lives. An experimental artist, she is also a mother; a teacher of healing movement, yoga, and English; a poet and photographer; an amateur sailor and boat mechanic. In Seattle (on the West Coast of United States), you can find her on her sailboat or in the Miller School of Art.
Because of her time in Morocco, her title: Experimental Painter, must now change to Experimental Artist. The work she has done here clearly shows that she works with what is at hand, with humor, creativity, and curiosity. Sometimes things work; sometimes they don’t: just like life. Is there a purpose to art? Yes. To learn, to share, to reflect, and to offer something to the world in gratitude for what we receive. She also sees art as a way of creating understanding and compassion. She is excited to continue.
