HEATHER (DANSO) EMANUEL

Heather Danso, now Emanuel, has had at least 9 lives. An experimental artist, she is also a grandmother; a teacher of healing movement, restorative yoga, and a hands-on healer.
These paintings are a collection from 2017-2018 painted in Seattle mostly in Georgetown, and Tetuoun, Morocco. Because of her time in Morocco, she expanded from painting to work with fabric, glue, paper. The work she did there clearly shows that she works with what is at hand, with humor, creativity, and curiosity. Sometimes things work; sometimes they don’t: just like life. Is there a purpose to art? Yes. To learn, to share, to reflect, and to offer something to the world in gratitude for what we receive. She also sees art as a way of creating understanding and compassion. These days, most of her creativity flows into her hands-on work with all ages, through Emanuel Therapies. Other Works
