Discover yourself through your Sensation the primary way of knowing.
Understanding through a felt sense can unlock years of stiffness. Perhaps you are noticing stiffness in your neck, or your back; perhaps that troublesome spot between your shoulder-blades. You may even notice a lessening of your ability to do what you want in yoga or in life.
Learn (or review) the functional anatomy of your spine, the structures, and how they move. Find more possibilities for free movement in yourself. In Feldenkrais methodology, we free ourselves by discovering or unwinding old habits, and creating opportunities for the nervous system to find a more functional way. We will play with twisting, and meditative ways of moving and feeling the movement of our spine. This can be playful, slow, and illuminating.
This movement-centered class will help you rethink the myth of a “right” posture, and help you discover greater ease in standing and moving.
What you’ll need: Yoga mat / Blanket (or you can sit in a chair) Paper and writing implement
You will find your own deep insights through this facilitated journey through lecture, discussion, Feldenkrais Awareness through Movement® lessons (think playful, slow, exploratory floor work), and an opportunity for learning that will influence how you move through life.
Classes will be audio recorded so that you can return to the movements to continue the learning.

Self-Study
Svadyaya is the yogic principle for living that teaches self-study. Discover yourself through your body, the primary way of knowing. Work with our root chakra, the source of our foundation of movement and interaction, physically, but on all levels.
Movement is life. Life is a process. Improve the quality of the process and you improve the quality of life itself.
